NOTE:
The HitchMate Truck Step is designed to fit SUV's, full size trucks, or pick-ups that have either rear lift gates or side opening doors; with 2” hitch receivers.
There are a few SUV's that the HitchMate will not fit. These include SUV's that are equipped with drop down tailgates, such as the Volvo XC90, BMW X5, and some older Jeep and Chevy Suburban/Tahoe configurations.
The Toyota Rav4 has a side opening door with an integral bumper that does not allow any clearance above the hitch receiver for the HitchMate.
The HitchMate will not fit on SUV's that have the hitch receiver mounted in a recessed position under the bumper (some versions of Land Rover Discovery, for example).
